Challenge to achieve: The Areños and Espinama WWTPs are characterized by having membrane ultrafiltration technology as wastewater treatment. They have been in operation since 2009, so they have already exceeded their useful life, which is estimated to be approximately 8 years for that generation of membranes. In addition, some signs of deterioration are beginning to be seen. Through this contract, the aim is to provide the facilities with equipment that achieves equivalent performance in anticipation of the collapse of the installed equipment, which would mean the shutdown of the facilities and the discharge outside the limits required in the authorization.
